2002, the Internet radio community united to fight music royalty
rates that most webcasters feel would put them out of business.
Most webcasters fell silent in their protest
running occasional PSA's telling listeners how to contact
congress on "May Day" as they called it. However,
Steve Wolf of WolfFM.com
led a marathon radio telethon that was anything but silent.
David Clements, producer of the "Be Connected" Technology
Series has more...

Public Radio
interviews Web Radio during what could be the largest webcast
of all time. During
the May 1st "Save Internet Radio Telethon", David
Clements had a chance to pose questions directly to Steve
Wolf of WolfFM.com
and other webcasters about their stance against the proposed
royalty fees. Here is an excerpt of the May 1st telethon,
excerpted with the permission of Steve Wolf. (This interview
is not intended for rebroadcast.)
